Maximizing Forage Profitability

The UW-Extension Central Wisconsin Agriculture Specialization team is hosting a forage meeting on “Maximizing Forage Profitability; A Review of Top Forage Production Practices”.  This forage meeting is Thursday March 24 at the Pheasant Inn, N415 County Road A, Briggsville from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Topics and speakers include:

  • Forage Fertility Needs by Donald Genrich, UW-Extension Central Wisconsin Agronomy and Soils Specialist
  • What Do I plant? – Alfalfa Variety Development to Present Times by Mark Smith, Pioneer Research Scientist
  • Harvesting Quality Hay by Ryan Pearcy, Kuhn North America, Hay Tools Product Manager


The meal is at your expense, off the Pheasant Inn menu.  There are no additional charges, but please register 3 days in advance of the session by calling UW-Extension Agent Craig Saxe at 608-847-9329.
